AfricaBio's official media launch for the 6th Annual BIO Africa Convention in Durban took place, 11th of July 2023 from 10h00 to 12h00 CAT at Bigen (The Innovation Hub) in Pretoria. This year’s theme Re-imagining Biotechnology Innovation for Africa’s Development and Security promises to bring together some of the world’s most renowned scientists and professionals as they exchange ground-breaking ideas and opportunities in the biotechnology industry.

Ready, set, pitch! The BIO Africa start-up stadium was part of the Africa Health ExCon conference in Egypt, with some of the finest biotech startups in Africa battling it out for the ultimate prize, the attending start-ups also participated in the BIO Africa Academy training courses which were hosted with our partner organization AHIA, Emory.
